What changed
Jacksonville went from 1-0 after Cleveland to 1-1 after Denver. Estimated space holds near $6,491,084, and the practice squad has 16 players. Reporting on Sep. 20 raised single-source questions about Jaguars wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr. Jacksonville is still the favorite, just with less cushion.
Why it matters
Jacksonville is 1-1 and alone atop the AFC South after a 34-10 home demolition of Cleveland and a 20-13 loss at Denver. Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence gives this team a division-repeat ceiling and a playoff floor. Now Jacksonville must prove 13 wins was the standard, not a spike.
What to watch
Watch New England at EverBank Stadium on Sep. 27. Clean protection, one or two takeaways and stable health would put Jacksonville back in control before Cincinnati and London.
What would change our mind

- The ground game has produced 221 yards on 56 carries, 3.9 per attempt, with no big plays and one touchdown. That puts short yardage on the passing game.
- Turnover regression is a threat after Jacksonville finished plus-13 in 2025 despite producing only 32 sacks and 22 interceptions. The current plus-2 margin may cool.
